As a key member of our Bakery team, the Bakery Evening Operations Leader will be responsible for ensuring the Bakery department remains fully stocked with fresh, delightful products during the evening shift.



This full-time, hourly position is committed to the evening shift, and we're looking for a highly motivated individual to lead our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for bakery food-service operations and a strong understanding of retail food service, bakery, and pastry operations.



Job Summary

We're seeking a talented and experienced Bakery Evening Operations Leader to join our team. In this role, you'll be responsible for:




  • Leading and supporting the Bakery team, ensuring excellent guest service and adherence to department standards
  • Training and guiding new evening Bakery clerks and cleaners, providing them with the necessary support to succeed
  • Maintaining excellence in all department standards, monitoring sales floor, prep area, back room, cooler, and freezer conditions
  • Delivering outstanding service, assisting guests in finding items, taking cake and special orders, and providing exceptional service
  • Ensuring quality and safety, keeping supplies replenished, maintaining food safety logs, and meeting quality standards
  • Honoring commitments, ensuring regular and timely attendance and adequate notice for occasional absences


Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:




  • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to work effectively with guests and team members
  • Solid communication skills, with the ability to work as a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of retail food service, bakery, and pastry operations, with a strong understanding of food service standards and practices
  • Comprehensive knowledge of safety requirements and the ability to apply on-the-job safety training and safety policies
