Key Responsibilities:

As a key member of our Quality Assurance team, reporting directly to the Director of Quality Assurance, your primary role will be to ensure that all products adhere to both customer expectations and company standards, as well as comply with relevant regulatory requirements. Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Collaborating with the Director of Quality Assurance to develop, implement, and uphold internal product testing protocols, including manuals and procedures, while managing product testing for internal, licensor, and customer specifications.
  2. Overseeing the management of Certificates of Compliance for children's products in line with CPSIA regulations, ensuring timely maintenance and accessibility for compliance requests.
  3. Coordinating the issuance and upkeep of all necessary documentation, including retailer and licensor Letters of Guarantee, to meet retailer, licensor, and governmental standards.
  4. Partnering with the Director of Quality Assurance to establish and maintain product quality standards, directing quality assurance staff to ensure compliance with established benchmarks.
  5. Building and nurturing strong relationships with quality assurance personnel and testing laboratories associated with major retailers and licensors.
  6. Traveling to international vendor locations to foster collaborative partnerships, reinforce quality expectations, and oversee production processes.
  7. Visiting domestic distribution centers to train and guide quality control staff, ensuring a thorough understanding of quality standards and assisting in recruitment efforts.
  8. Participating in product evaluations for safety and liability considerations, providing recommendations for necessary modifications.
  9. Staying informed about updates in product safety compliance and federal and state regulations, maintaining comprehensive documentation.
  10. Monitoring changes in packaging and labeling requirements for target markets, updating internal protocols accordingly and maintaining relevant documentation.
  11. Ensuring timely and accurate quarterly reporting, analyzing results, and implementing necessary corrective actions.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a Quality Assurance role within the textile industry.
  • At least 5 years of managerial experience.
  • Experience working with and visiting manufacturing facilities in China.
  • Proficiency in developing statistical quality control methodologies.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Strong leadership capabilities.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (approximately 20%).
