Quality Control Manager

Key Responsibilities:
As a pivotal member of our Quality Assurance team, reporting directly to the Director of Quality Assurance, your primary role will be to ensure that our products adhere to both customer expectations and company standards, as well as comply with all relevant regulatory requirements. Your responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating with the Director of Quality Assurance to develop, implement, and uphold internal product testing standards, including the management of product testing for internal, licensor, and customer specifications.
- Overseeing the Certificates of Compliance for children's products in line with CPSIA regulations and managing requests from various stakeholders.
- Coordinating the issuance and maintenance of documentation for all retailer and licensor Letters of Guarantee, ensuring compliance with retailer, licensor, and governmental standards.
- Assisting in the formulation and enforcement of product quality standards, directing quality assurance personnel to meet or exceed established benchmarks.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with quality assurance teams and testing laboratories associated with major retailers and licensors.
- Traveling to international manufacturing sites to foster partnerships, reinforce quality standards, and oversee production processes.
- Visiting domestic distribution centers to train and manage quality control staff, ensuring a thorough understanding of quality expectations.
- Participating in product evaluations for safety and liability, providing recommendations for necessary adjustments.
- Staying informed about updates related to product safety compliance and federal and state regulations, maintaining relevant documentation.
- Monitoring changes in packaging and labeling requirements for target markets, updating internal protocols accordingly.
- Ensuring timely and accurate quarterly reporting, analyzing results, and implementing necessary actions.
Qualifications:
- Over 10 years of experience in a Quality Assurance role within the textile industry.
- A minimum of 5 years in a managerial capacity.
- Experience working with and visiting manufacturing facilities in China.
- Proficiency in developing statistical quality control methods.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, approximately 20% of the time.
