Key Responsibilities:

As a pivotal member of our Quality Assurance team, reporting directly to the Director of Quality Assurance, your primary role will be to ensure that all products adhere to both customer and company specifications, as well as all relevant regulatory requirements. Your responsibilities will encompass:

  1. Collaborating with the Director of Quality Assurance to develop, implement, and uphold internal product testing standards, manuals, processes, and procedures, while managing product testing for internal, licensor, and customer-specific needs.
  2. Overseeing Certificates of Compliance for children's products in alignment with CPSIA guidelines and maintaining these certificates for requests from regulatory bodies and licensors.
  3. Coordinating the issuance and upkeep of files for all retailer and licensor Letters of Guarantee, ensuring compliance with retailer, licensor, and governmental standards.
  4. Partnering with the Director of Quality Assurance to establish and maintain product quality standards, directing quality personnel to ensure that all standards are met or exceeded.
  5. Fostering strong working relationships with quality teams and testing laboratories associated with major retailers, licensors, and brands.
  6. Traveling to international vendor facilities to cultivate collaborative relationships, reinforce quality expectations, and monitor ongoing production processes.
  7. Visiting domestic distribution facilities to train and manage quality control staff, ensuring comprehensive understanding of quality standards and assisting in recruitment efforts.
  8. Conducting product reviews to assess safety and liability concerns, providing recommendations for necessary modifications.
  9. Staying informed on updates related to product safety compliance, as well as federal and state regulations, while maintaining relevant documentation.
  10. Monitoring changes to packaging and labeling requirements for target markets, disseminating information, and adjusting internal protocols accordingly.
  11. Ensuring timely and accurate quarterly reporting, evaluating results, and implementing appropriate actions.

Qualifications:

  • Over 10 years of experience in a Quality Assurance role focused on textile products.
  • A minimum of 5 years in a managerial capacity.
  • Prior experience working with and visiting manufacturing facilities in China.
  • Proficiency in developing statistical quality control methodologies.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Strong leadership capabilities.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (approximately 20%).
