Job Title: Lifeguard II Seasonal OC Summer Lifeguard II SCK

Job Summary:

The Salvation Army is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lifeguard II to join our team at the Ray & Joan Kroc Corps Community Center in Suisun City, CA. As a Lifeguard II, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of our members and guests while providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor activities and observe swimmers to prevent accidents and ensure a safe environment.
  • Provide first aid and rescue services as needed.
  • Enforce pool rules and regulations.
  • Assist with swim lessons and other aquatic programs.
  • Perform general facility maintenance and cleaning duties.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.
  • Must be able to work varied shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • 1-year experience as a lifeguard.
  • American Red Cross certifications, including Standard First Aid and CPR for the Professional Rescuer.

Working Conditions:

The Lifeguard II will work in a fast-paced aquatic environment, requiring the ability to multitask and work effectively in a team setting. The position requires proficient swimming ability and endurance, as well as the ability to lift and carry at least 40 pounds.
