Lifeguard I Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and certified Lifeguard I to join our team at The Salvation Army: Ray & Joan Kroc Corps Community Center in Suisun City, CA. As a Lifeguard I, you will be responsible for monitoring activities, observing and providing assistance to swimmers, preventing accidents, and enforcing regulations to ensure a safe environment for all members, visitors, and employees.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor pool areas and provide assistance to swimmers as needed
- Enforce pool rules and regulations to maintain a safe environment
- Provide first aid and rescue services as required
- Assist with swim lessons and other aquatic programs
- Perform general facility maintenance and cleaning duties as assigned
- Must be at least 16 years of age
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English
- Must be able to work varied shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must have prior experience working with the public and be able to relate positively and energetically with staff, clients, members, and customers
- Must have American Red Cross certifications, including Lifeguard Training, Standard First Aid, and CPR for the Professional Rescuer
The Lifeguard I will work in a fast-paced aquatic environment, requiring the ability to multitask, work independently, and as part of a team. The position requires proficient swimming ability and endurance, as well as the ability to lift and carry at least 40 lbs.
