Job Title: Equity Research Associate - Software and IT Services

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Equity Research Associate to join our team in New York. As an Equity Research Associate, you will work closely with a senior analyst to provide insights and research on numerous companies across the software and IT services spectrum.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct strategic examinations of industry trends, company fundamentals, and competitive analysis
  • Analyze financial statements and company results
  • Create and maintain detailed financial models
  • Write research reports and comments
  • Communicate recommendations to internal and external clients
  • Participate in virtual and physical visits to industry events and management meetings
Requirements:
  • Ability to perform abstract reasoning
  • Exceptional writing skills and finance or accounting experience
  • Prior industry experience in the tech industry is not required but could be beneficial
  • Candidates must have a clear and proven track record of achievement throughout their education and career
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • A positive attitude, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to learn quickly
  • Superior work ethic, self-motivation, and the ability to work independently
  • Ability to systematically manage a heavy work load and meet deadlines
  • Flexibility to work irregular or extended hours
  • Solid technology skills with robust knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Bloomberg
Education:

Candidates should have 2-3 years of relevant experience in the tech industry, investment banking, and/or strategic consulting. MBA, CPA, and/or CFA certification is preferred but not required.

Compensation:

$100,000 - $150,000 USD

The above represents BMO Financial Group's pay range and type. Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure.

BMO Financial Group's total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
