Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Grocery 3rd Shift Supervisor.

The Grocery 3rd Shift Supervisor plays a crucial role in guiding Grocery associates, promoting Festival's grocery offerings, and ensuring departmental objectives are met.


Key Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Lead, mentor, and reinforce Festival culture, customer service, and performance standards among all Third Shift associates.

2. Provide training for new Third Shift Grocery associates.

3. Document policy violations and implement progressive disciplinary measures when necessary.

4. Conduct performance evaluations for Third Shift Grocery associates.

5. Offer guidance and answer inquiries from all Third Shift associates.

6. Ensure compliance with departmental standards in the Grocery section.

7. Monitor sales floor and back stock conditions, taking corrective actions as needed.

8. Maintain optimal inventory levels and ensure accurate pricing on products.

9. Collaborate with Store Director and Grocery Department Manager to uphold standards and exceed customer expectations.

10. Oversee sanitation practices within the Third Shift department.

11. Provide excellent customer service to guests, assisting them in locating items and resolving any concerns.

12. Support all department associates in their daily tasks while leading by example.

13. Develop Assistant Department Managers and/or Department Leads for future advancement opportunities.

14. Contribute to the overall cleanliness of the department by organizing and maintaining work areas.

15. Ensure regular attendance in accordance with the work schedule and provide adequate notice for absences.

16. Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

1. Ability to interact effectively with guests and associates.

2. Strong oral and written communication skills, capable of managing a diverse team in a fast-paced environment.

3. Comprehensive understanding of safety protocols and company policies, including proper lifting techniques.

4. Proficiency in operating equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT


The physical demands and work environment described below are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

The associate must possess the ability to stand in place for long periods of time; walk in the store; bend, stoop and kneel regularly.

Requires fine finger and broad manual dexterity, and eye-hand-foot coordination in order to operate equipment.

The associate must have full range of upper body motion in order to lift stock. Requires the ability to perform repetitive tasks for prolonged periods of time.

Must possess functional sensory abilities in order to visually monitor the store, create attractive displays, and to operate equipment.

The position requires the associate to lift up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis.

WORK SCHEDULE
The Grocery 3rd Shift Supervisor is a full-time salaried position. The work schedule will primarily consist of overnight shifts, which may vary occasionally, including weekdays and weekends.
