About the Role

This full-time position combines the responsibilities of a floor nurse and MDS coordinator, requiring collaboration with various disciplines to complete assessments and coordinate resident care planning under the supervision of the Director of Nurses. The role involves managing the Minimum Data Set (MDS) and ensuring optimal reimbursement for healthcare services in a senior living environment.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Collaborating with DON, CRM, and other disciplines to complete assessments and coordinate resident care planning
  • Managing the overall resident assessment process and tracking Medicare/Managed Care/Medicaid case mix documents
  • Ensuring timely completion of MDS and associated processes
Qualifications and Requirements

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • Graduation from a School for Registered Nursing
  • Minimum 1 year of previous experience in an MDS/Clinical Reimbursement Nurse role
  • Current State Licensure as a Registered Nurse
  • Excellent knowledge of case-Mix, Federal Medicare PPS process, Quality Indicator Process, and OBRA regulations
