Position Overview

RAYUS Radiology, a leader in diagnostic imaging, is seeking an MRI Technologist to enhance our dedicated team. We are redefining the standards in radiology, emphasizing its vital role in accurate diagnosis and effective treatment.

This is a PRN role, primarily involving 12-hour shifts.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

(90%) Patient MRI Imaging
  • Conducts thorough patient screenings prior to examinations, ensuring the correct identification and procedure through dual patient identifiers.
  • Communicates effectively with patients, preparing them for MRI processes by explaining the procedure and positioning them appropriately.
  • Executes routine and advanced MRI scans on specified body areas, assisting physicians in diagnosing and treating conditions, while minimizing the need for repeat scans and providing ongoing patient support.
  • Adjusts MRI scanning parameters as necessary to optimize image quality.
  • Fosters positive relationships with radiologists, referring practitioners, and colleagues.
  • Adheres strictly to physician directives and safety protocols to ensure the well-being of patients and staff.
  • Maintains accurate patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
  • Keeps the work environment organized and clean, promoting safety for patients and coworkers.
  • Ensures compliance with ACR toolkit and accreditation standards.
  • Maintains MRI equipment in optimal condition, performing cleaning and disinfection after each use.
  • Complies with all HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
(5%) MRI Department Support
  • Assists in updating imaging protocol manuals and implementing software upgrades.
  • Monitors inventory of medical supplies and requests replenishments as needed.
  • Supports the training of new staff members, providing technical guidance and resources.
(5%) Completes additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

Required:
  • ARRT certification as a registered technologist, in good standing.
  • Graduation from an AMA-approved radiography program.
  • State licensure as a Radiological Technologist, if applicable.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Proven training and experience to independently perform MRI procedures.
  • Certification in a relevant imaging specialty.
Preferred:
  • Bilingual capabilities.
