Quality Clinical Documentation Specialist

At Kaleida Health, we are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Documentation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our clinical documentation team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of patient records.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct concurrent analytical reviews of clinical documentation and coding data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to obtain necessary clinical documentation.
  • Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance clinical documentation practices.
  • Provide education and training to staff on clinical documentation best practices.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in patient management, acute care, or medical/surgical settings.
  • 1+ year of experience in clinical documentation specialist field, with knowledge of coding classification systems.
  • RN license required.
