Position Overview

ROLE SUMMARY

The Human Resources Director serves as a proactive and innovative leader, overseeing all HR functions at CitySquare. This role encompasses a variety of responsibilities, including the development of a robust recruitment and candidate engagement framework, guiding new employees through their journey at CitySquare, and implementing effective employee relations strategies. The HR Director will also act as a trusted advisor and mentor to team members regarding HR practices such as progressive discipline and employment termination.

Additionally, this position involves managing employee benefits and compensation strategies to ensure competitiveness and alignment with the organization's mission. The HR Director will oversee compliance with federal employment regulations, including Worker’s Compensation, OSHA, COBRA, FLSA, and FMLA. The role requires the formulation and execution of essential policies and procedures, as well as the assessment and enhancement of employee training and development initiatives. Maintaining internal HR compliance, including the accurate management of HR files and documentation, is also a critical responsibility.

Key Objectives for the Initial Year:

  • Evaluate and implement a Human Resource Information System (HRIS)
  • Develop an Employee Engagement and Satisfaction Strategy
  • Review and revise Compensation and Policy frameworks
  • Revitalize the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Committee

Qualifications

EDUCATION: A Bachelor's degree is required; a degree in Human Resources or a related field is preferred.

EXPERIENCE: 7-10 years of experience in Human Resource management, ideally within a non-profit environment.

CERTIFICATION: PHR or SPHR certification is preferred.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook; experience with HRIS and Applicant Tracking Systems; flexibility to work occasional overtime as needed.
