Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled CAT Scan Technologist to join our team at Max Populi. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for performing routine and special procedure imaging, preparing patients for procedures, and assisting radiologists.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine and special procedure imaging using CAT scan equipment
  • Prepare patients for procedures, observing different and special requirements for each protocol
  • Assist radiologists during procedures as necessary
  • Perform equipment quality assurance and calibrations as needed
  • Work on call, holiday, overtime, and/or day, evening, and overnight shift coverage to maintain adequate and safe coverage for the department
  • Maintain the cleanliness of all work areas, equipment, and accessories
  • Process images or print CDs as needed
  • Perform routine office duties, such as answering phones, checking previous reports/films, and documenting information on patients in EPIC, hospital RIS, and PACs digital x-ray system
  • Notify transport when patients are ready to be picked up or returned to the floor
Requirements
  • Graduate of an allied health education and accredited radiography school or hospital-based program
  • NY State DOH Licensure or Limited Permit required
  • ARRT registered (RT) and radiograph (R) and/or (CT) certified and/or NMTCB registered (CNMT)
  • Documented training and experience in operating CT equipment and radiation physics and protection
  • Passing advanced CT examination/certification within 1 year from date of hire
  • Continuing education requirements need to be upheld to meet the standards set forth by governing bodies
  • BLS certification through the American Heart Association required or must be completed within 90 days of hire
Preferred Qualifications
  • DOH IV certification preferred or by completion of 6-month orientation
