Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Trinity Health Chelsea Infusion Center.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for office visits, take vital signs, and record medical information
  • Obtain patient chief complaints, escort patients to exam rooms, and prepare patients for physician visits
  • Assure patients are ready in exam rooms for physician/mid-level provider arrival
  • Review patient medical records to ensure all needed test results, forms, and reports are available to physicians/providers
  • Assist physicians/providers with procedures and process specimens according to established procedures
  • Perform in-office testing at direction of physician/provider, e.g., EKGs, vision testing, strep tests, urinalysis, suture removals, injections, immunizations, etc.
  • Assist physicians with completion of patient forms as requested by third parties
  • Arrange patient hospital admissions and test scheduling
  • Maintain exam rooms to ensure supplies are present and that rooms and equipment are in working order and in clean condition
  • May be required to assist with patient phone triage
  • May assist with medication, laboratory, and radiology order entry (including ECGs) into the EHR if a credentialed Medical Assistant through an approved ICE NCCA provider
Requirements
  • CMA, RMA, CCMA, or NCMA certification through an NCCA accredited program
  • 2 years previous clinical experience or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
  • Formal education in medical terminology and anatomy & physiology preferred
