At North Suffolk Community Services Inc., we are seeking a skilled Medical Care Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing direct services to individuals in ICGLE/IMGLE settings. Your responsibilities will include assisting with personal care, mobility assistance, and medical interventions to address the needs and goals of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide hands-on assistance with personal care, mobility assistance, and housekeeping tasks.
  • Assist clients with showers and laundry, as well as transporting them from bed to wheelchair and wheelchair to shower.
  • Participate in housekeeping and upkeep of assigned living areas.
  • Order medical supplies as needed.
  • Participate in clinical and skill trainings to enhance your skills and knowledge base.
  • Assist clients with movement and exercise.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma/GED required.
  • C.N.A. certificate required.
  • Minimum of six months experience working with similar populations in a human services environment.
  • MAP certification and CPR/First Aid certification during orientation.
