Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our team at Trinity Health - IHA. As a Medical Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our patients and will play a critical role in ensuring their experience is positive and efficient.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Registration: Obtain necessary patient registration information, verify patient insurance eligibility, and prepare charts for visits in accordance with IHA protocols.
  • Scheduling and Coordination: Schedule and confirm appointments based on office protocols, and assist with reschedules of clinics and contacts patients.
  • Communication and Customer Service: Answer telephone calls in accordance with IHA telephone etiquette guidelines, take and relay messages in a timely manner, and provide exceptional customer service to patients and staff.
  • Administrative Tasks: Accurately complete patient forms, collect payment, and ensure that charges are posted to the billing system, and perform other administrative tasks as needed.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the reception team to ensure smooth operations and provide support as needed.

Requirements:

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a medical or physician office or customer service environment preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, proficiency in operating a standard desktop and Windows-based computer system, and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Working Conditions:

This role operates in a typical office environment with some exposure to contagious diseases/viruses. It requires significant interaction with people, which can be stressful and result in competing priorities.
