Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist III to join our team at Sutter Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing routine and specialized nuclear medicine procedures to produce high-quality images for physicians and other healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Competently perform nuclear medicine procedures to produce accurate and timely results.
  • Work independently, exercising sound judgment and developed clinical skills to execute safe and precise procedures.
  • Gain confidence and cooperation from patients, families, and healthcare providers through competent patient assessment, attentive monitoring, and effective communication.
  • Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures to ensure patient privacy and safety.
  • May be responsible for performing specific procedures and/or helping to orient other staff to the department.
Requirements
  • Successful completion of an educational program in Nuclear Medicine accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Educational Programs in Nuclear Medicine Technology or the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT).
  • NMT-California Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist certification.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification.
  • 5 years of recent relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • General knowledge of diagnostic nuclear medicine principles, procedures, views, and equipment.
  • Ability to perform routine nuclear medicine examinations and basic understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to explain sensitive information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences.
  • Well-developed time management and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize assignments and work within standardized operating procedures and scientific methods.
