About the Role

Sutter Health is seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist III to join our team in Tracy, California.

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly competent professional to perform routine and specialized nuclear medicine procedures to produce high-quality images for physicians and other healthcare providers. The ideal candidate will have excellent clinical skills, be able to work independently, and possess strong communication skills to ensure patient satisfaction and cooperation.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine and specialized nuclear medicine procedures to produce high-quality images
  • Work independently, exercising sound judgment and developed clinical skills
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers
  • Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures to ensure patient safety and privacy
  • May be responsible for performing specific procedures and/or orienting other staff to the department
Requirements
  • Successful completion of an educational program in Nuclear Medicine accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Educational Programs in Nuclear Medicine Technology or the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT)
  • NMT-California Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist
  • BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
  • 5 years of recent relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • General knowledge of diagnostic nuclear medicine principles, procedures, views, and equipment
  • Ability to perform routine nuclear medicine examinations and understand human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to explain sensitive information clearly and professionally
  • Well-developed time management and organizational skills to prioritize assignments and work within standardized operating procedures and scientific methods
