Position Overview

The Family Services Support Specialist plays a crucial role in recognizing and amplifying the strengths of families with young children, specifically those under the age of five. This position is dedicated to assisting parents through educational resources on child development and connecting them with community services to mitigate risks associated with child maltreatment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct home visits to provide case management and coordination services directly to families.
  • Foster strong relationships with families, emphasizing their strengths and resilience.
  • Commit to the mission of Catholic Charities Hawaii and embody the organization’s core values in daily interactions.

Qualifications:

A high school diploma or GED is required, along with at least one year of experience in child welfare or family support services.

Clearance Requirements:

  • TB Clearance
  • CAN Clearance
  • FBI Clearance
  • HI State Criminal Check
  • Valid Driver's License
  • No-Fault Insurance Card
  • Access to an Insured Vehicle
  • Driver's Abstract
  • Hawaii/National Sex Offender Clearance

Compensation: $20.3548 per hour
