Job Summary:

As a Branch Manager with Carrie Rikon & Associates, LLC., you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of the Branch to guarantee customer satisfaction and projected bottom line profit. You will manage personnel issues and supervision, maintaining a positive company image by providing courteous, friendly, and efficient customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. General operations of the Branch.
  2. Develop strong business relationships with customers by maintaining open communication and resolving problems effectively.
  3. Ensure compliance with established policies and procedures, including safety, personnel, security, pest control, and shrink control.
  4. Review financial and operational reports and take necessary actions based on report results.
  5. Direct subordinates to manage warehouse operations, including safety, sanitation, inventory, merchandising, receiving, stocking, stacking, order pulling, shipping, and in-store customer service.
  6. Define service standards and operational mission, communicate them to employees, and monitor activities to meet branch goals.
  7. Maximize sales opportunities by ensuring high levels of customer service and proper workforce scheduling while meeting budgetary guidelines.
  8. Manage selection, annual performance appraisals, and professional development of management-level personnel.
  9. Directly supervise and manage department managers.
  10. Coach managers on employee relations issues, such as new hires, transfers, promotions, demotions, and disciplinary action.
  11. Maintain communication with Corporate Offices to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as state and federal laws and regulations.
  12. Review inventory regularly to ensure accuracy and availability of products.
  13. Complete and process necessary reports and paperwork accurately and timely.

Additional Responsibilities:

  1. Assume special projects and responsibilities as required.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree (preferred but not required).
  2. Minimum 4 years of management experience in food service or grocery distribution in a supermarket, club warehouse, big box, or mass merchandising environment.
  3. Background in P&L, inventory control, merchandising, hiring/training staff, front-end operations, cash control, payroll, security/loss prevention.
  4. Strong leadership skills, capable of running a high-volume warehouse operation.
  5. Excellent communication, organizational, and people management/training skills, with a strong customer service orientation.
  6. Commitment to company values and strong customer orientation.
  7. Background in big box, food service, or food retail.

Work Environment:

  1. The ambient temperature will be moderate, with areas that are cold (freezer) and hot (damages area).
  2. The work is mostly performed standing/walking – must be able to stand/walk for up to 4 hours without a break.
  3. Physical labor is infrequent but may be required for merchandise movement or area cleaning.
  4. Industrial vehicles (forklifts, Hilo) will be moving material throughout the warehouse.
