Department Overview

Job Description

Applicants must be U.S. Citizens and capable of obtaining an active SECRET Security Clearance.

We seek candidates with a robust technical foundation.


Proven experience and expertise in security engineering, secure architecture design, system and network security, authentication and security protocols, applied cryptography, and application security are essential.


Responsibilities include assessing and evaluating cybersecurity documentation for client information systems in alignment with FISMA, NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF) for Federal Civilian Agencies, RMF for DoD IT, FedRAMP, and departmental standards.

Conduct system and network vulnerability assessments utilizing both automated tools and manual methodologies.

Engage in technical evaluations employing industry-standard tools such as Nessus, DB Protect, WebInspect, and ACAS (for DoD), among others.

Identify and implement vulnerability remediation strategies, corrective procedures, and, when necessary, mitigation techniques.

Assess and mitigate cybersecurity risks through formal evaluation processes.


Lead discussions related to compliance and technical matters, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of relevant compliance frameworks, architectures, and security control requirements (both technical and non-technical).

Coordinate and lead cross-functional teams, ensuring effective collaboration and communication.


Guide clients in resolving cybersecurity challenges and elucidate how compliance with various standards and frameworks is achieved.

A minimum of 3 years of experience in conducting or participating in FISMA-based security Assessment and Authorization (A&A) activities is required.

Subject Matter Expert (SME) knowledge of Cloud Computing and FedRAMP is preferred.

SME knowledge of FISMA, NIST/DoD RMF, and NIST SP 800-series publications is essential.

Intermediate proficiency with testing tools such as Nessus/ACAS, SCC, DISA STIGs / STIG Viewer, NMAP, Acunetix, etc.

Understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and related terminology in the context of Information Security/Information Assurance is necessary.

Self-motivated individuals who can work independently or as part of a client delivery team are encouraged to apply.

Ability to produce original content, reports, and attestations is required.

Exceptional organizational, planning, and attention to detail skills are crucial.

Candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, remote environment.

Willingness to travel up to 25% as needed for various client engagements is expected.

Preferred Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Systems) is advantageous.

Demonstrated experience in managing complex projects within the information security sector is preferred.

Strong leadership and interpersonal skills are essential.

Certification in Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) is mandatory.

Possession of another advanced certification such as CISA, CISM, etc., is required.

Travel requirements may range from 25% to 50%.
