As a Senior Project Engineer, we are looking for a professional with a proven track record in orchestrating planning, organization, control, integration, and successful completion of engineering initiatives within their designated area of responsibility.
Responsibilities include formulating engineering programs; assessing product designs for adherence to engineering principles, company standards, customer contract stipulations, and related specifications.
You will evaluate and authorize design modifications, specification releases, and drawing updates. You will also coordinate activities related to technical advancements, scheduling, and troubleshooting engineering design and testing challenges.- Demonstrated experience in Configuration Management (CM) processes, procedures, and tools. The selected candidate will support the FBM program in implementing both new and existing hardware configuration documentation requirements. A solid understanding of CM life-cycle activities and the application of EIA 649 principles is essential.
- Collaboration with program leaders and multiple engineering teams will be expected to achieve the best unified solutions that align with overall system performance, cost, and scheduling needs. You will analyze proposed design changes to assess their impact on the overall product and system. You will manage modification records for effective management control, establish change orders, and prepare for change authorization and documentation by the company and subcontractors. You will review engineering change data and coordinate modifications with engineering, quality assurance, support, manufacturing, and other relevant departments, ensuring that customer requirements are met and approvals are documented in compliance with configuration management policies.
- Facilitate and manage program design and change management processes, utilizing the LM Enterprise Product Data Management (EPDM) workflow program, including the implementation of associated change objects such as Change Tasks (CTs), Change Requests (CRs), or Change Notices (CNs).
- The candidate will oversee the release process of classified documentation, manage CDRLs/SDRLs in accordance with the Contract Statement of Work (SOW), and assist FBM team members with the necessary documentation markings, formatting, and handling.
- Provide comprehensive guidance, direction, coordination, and execution of configuration management requirements, policies, and practices related to configuration identification (i.e., baseline documentation, hardware, and software) in line with business and contract obligations.
- The candidate will be responsible for capturing Electronic Data Files in both classified and unclassified environments.
- Operate with minimal supervision while maintaining a strong attention to detail. Independently determine and develop approaches to solutions.
- Deliver technical solutions to a broad spectrum of complex challenges.
- Contribute significantly to the successful completion of specific programs and projects.
- Recognized as an expert in systems thinking techniques, with the ability to apply them to a wide range of sophisticated problems and mentor others in their application.
- Proven experience in integrating and implementing Configuration Management program requirements.
- Familiarity with drawing and/or CAD to facilitate drawing and model reviews using ePDM.
- Experience with DOD Production and Development programs.
- Background in government or military customer relations and an understanding of DOD Contracts.
- Proficiency in electronic data vaulting and digital data management using ePDM.
- Experience with design and Product Data Management tools, including ePDM.
- Familiarity with SharePoint, LiveLink, or other collaborative workgroup tools.
- Configuration/Data Management Certification training, with at least two years of experience or equivalent knowledge of CM hardware/design work.
- US citizenship with DoD Top-Secret clearance.
- Knowledge of and ability to apply EIA-649, the National Consensus Standard for Configuration Management.
- Quick adaptability to new tools and processes.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to foster effective working relationships.
- Meticulous attention to detail and the capability to work with minimal oversight.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office with comprehensive knowledge.

These schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five-day work week to condensed options that allow for more time away from the office, in addition to Paid Time Off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 with every other Friday off.
Compensation:
The annual base salary range for this position in various states is $82,200 - $157,500. This salary information serves as a general guideline.
Lockheed Martin considers factors such as the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's experience, education/training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on the start date during the calendar year.This position is eligible for an incentive plan.
