We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Patient Access Liaison/Call Center Representative. This role is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patients and families, ensuring a positive experience throughout their interaction with Summa Health System.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist callers and patients with way-finding, appointment scheduling, pre-service registration, insurance verification, co-pay collection, physician referral, and initial screening of patient symptoms.
  • Provide high-level customer service to present a positive impression of Summa Health System.
  • Work collaboratively with the clinical team to ensure seamless patient flow and efficient use of resources.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-high school coursework in healthcare, accounting, business, or public relations preferred.
  • One year of customer service or general office support experience in any industry; contact or call center experience a plus.
  • Ability to effectively interact with diverse patient populations, demonstrating empathy and understanding of their needs.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well within a team environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, stressful environment, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
