Position Overview
As a General Engineer within the Department of Defense, your responsibilities will encompass a variety of technical and leadership tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide daily technical assistance to Product Managers, Chief Engineers, and Program Managers.
2. Facilitate System Requirement Reviews, Program Design Reviews, and Critical Design Reviews, ensuring thorough evaluations and inspections.
3. Develop comprehensive production certification packages for necessary approvals.
4. Contribute engineering insights to periodic reports, enhancing project transparency and accountability.
5. Lead and mentor the support staff, coordinating engineering efforts across various product lines.
6. Ensure effective collaboration with other product offices through rigorous Engineering Technical Reviews and Integrated Baseline Reviews.
7. Oversee Manufacturing and Failure Review Boards, ensuring compliance with established protocols.
8. Manage and mitigate risks associated with engineering projects, working closely with both domestic and international suppliers.
9. Track funding, contracts, and other programmatic actions to safeguard project objectives.
10. Review and provide input on Statements of Work and proposals, ensuring alignment with project goals.

Travel Requirements:
Willingness to travel up to 30%, including international travel.

Employment Conditions:

Full-time work schedule with potential for flexible hours.
Eligibility for telework arrangements based on management discretion.

Qualifications:
To qualify for this position, candidates must possess:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
- One year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-03/GS-13 level in federal service, demonstrating proficiency in weapon systems development, team leadership, or international program management.

Additional Requirements:
- Successful completion of a background investigation.
- Maintenance of a Critical-Sensitive (Top Secret) Security Clearance.
- Ongoing professional development through Continuous Learning Points.
