Position Overview
As a General Engineer within the Department of Defense, your responsibilities will encompass a variety of technical and leadership tasks that are critical to the success of our projects.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide ongoing technical assistance to the IPU Product Manager, Chief Engineer, Program Manager, and senior officials.
2. Facilitate System Requirement Reviews, Program Design Reviews, and Critical Design Reviews, ensuring compliance with established standards.
3. Develop and prepare production certification packages for necessary approvals.
4. Contribute engineering insights to regular reports on project status and progress.
5. Offer technical guidance to the IPU support team and coordinate engineering efforts across various products.
6. Ensure effective collaboration with other IP Product Offices through Engineering Technical Reviews and Integrated Baseline Reviews.
7. Oversee the conduct of Manufacturing and Failure Review Boards in accordance with the IP Joint SEP.
8. Identify and manage risks associated with IPU projects, working closely with domestic and international suppliers.
9. Monitor programmatic actions such as funding and contracts to mitigate risks to IPU initiatives.
10. Review and provide input on Statements of Work and proposals for approval.
Travel Requirements:
Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time, including international travel.

Qualifications:
To qualify for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
1. U.S. Citizenship is required.
2. Successful completion of a background investigation is mandatory.
3. Must be suitable for Federal employment.
4. Full-time work schedule is expected.
Education and Experience:
Applicants must possess a degree in Engineering from an accredited institution or a combination of education and experience that demonstrates a thorough understanding of engineering principles.
Additional Requirements:
1. Must obtain and maintain a Critical-Sensitive (Top Secret) Security Clearance.
2. Certification as a Practitioner in Engineering and Technical Management is required within a specified timeframe.
3. Continuous Learning Points must be achieved every two years.
