We are seeking a highly skilled General Manager to lead our operations in Bridgeport, CT. As a key member of the Transdev team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of transportation services to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Initiate, develop, and maintain successful contract relationships with clients
  • Oversee operations, administrative functions, and information systems to ensure compliance with company procedures and policies
  • Develop and implement action plans to improve operational efficiencies and ensure services are provided within budget
  • Maintain company and contractual assets, including vehicles, facilities, inventories, tools, and equipment
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations, including EPA, OSHA, DOT, ADA, and EEOC
  • Analyze, prepare, and develop budgets and forecasts to drive business growth
  • Assess resource needs, problems, and trends, and plan accordingly to ensure customer retention
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance location and company bench strength
  • Satisfy client, corporate, and contractual reporting requirements and needs
  • Assist in technical sales support and develop sales leads to drive business growth
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree strongly preferred
  • 3-5 years of recent and relevant direct experience managing all aspects of a paratransit and fixed route service
  • Prior experience working with collective bargaining agreements
  • Computer literate with excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a proven track record of building solid relationships with supervisors, peers, and subordinates
  • Ability to effectively and appropriately communicate and/or collaborate with agencies, directors, elected officials, operators, and all levels of hourly and salaried employees, including senior management
