About the Role

The Benefits and Leave of Absence Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth execution of our benefits and leave of absence programs. This position is responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operations of benefits and leave of absence programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, leaves administration, accommodations, and other employee benefits and wellbeing offerings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the execution and continuous improvement of benefits and leave of absence processes
  • Manage projects and programs related to benefits and leave of absence
  • Serve as a point of contact for escalated employee questions or issues related to their benefits and leave of absence
  • Participate in the education, communication, and support of Total Rewards Programs
  • Monitor data integrity of benefit and leave data and implement proactive audits to detect and correct errors in our systems and processes
  • Handle a variety of projects as assigned, recommending suggestions for innovation and improvement
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 2+ years of benefit administration and/or leave of absence experience
  • Knowledge of Workday HRIS system and 401(k) administration and benefits
  • Basic knowledge of state and federal leave-related regulations, including FMLA, ADA, LOA wage replacement programs, ERISA, HIPAA, and COBRA
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Excel, with experience with pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, XLOOKUPs, and formulas
  • Ability to properly manage time, meet deadlines, communicate with employees and management, handle confidential information, and exercise independent judgment, discretion, and confidentiality
