Job Title: Landscape Construction Program Coordinator

Job Summary:

The Conservation Corps of Long Beach is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Landscape Construction Program Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating landscape construction projects, including planning, coordination, and business development. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team and contribute to the organization's mission of developing at-risk youth to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and coordinate landscape construction projects, including planning, coordination, and business development.
  • Supervise and manage landscape construction project crews and crew supervisors.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, reports, and data tracking.
  • Coordinate with project partners and sponsors, including government agencies and private sector companies.
  • Conduct weekly site visits to ensure crews are working effectively and safely.
  • Prepare and present project reports to stakeholders, including project sponsors and CCLB Board meetings.
  • Manage equipment, project materials, and safety equipment, and oversee landscape construction budgets to ensure expenses are within budget.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Three years of experience in working with young adults from a diverse social and ethnic background.
  • A background and experience in landscape construction, urban greening, ecology, or wild and natural land management.
  • Three years prior supervisory experience.
  • Knowledge and appreciation of environmental conservation awareness.
  • Possess good interpersonal skills to communicate and work effectively with public officials, community and public entities, and other constituents and stakeholders.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Comfortable working in an office environment and sitting for extended periods.
  • Willing to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Valid California Driver's License.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • A. or B.S. from accredited college or university.
  • Prior experience in scheduling and supervising crews.
  • Prior management experience with public or non-profit agencies.

  • $66, $77, reflects the base range to the mid range) based on a level of experience and education that exceeds the minimum requirements and is commensurate with the compensation scale (salary range).
