Finance Manager AWS Network Software

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a highly skilled Finance Manager to join the AWS Data Transfer team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for building out the finance function for three new services under the Network Software organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support short and long-term financial planning
  • Drive cost optimization opportunities for newly launched services
  • Provide strategic support to key business initiatives and investment
  • Maintain the highest standards for financial models and reporting
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in finance, tax, or a related analytical field
  • Strong financial modeling skills and experience with Excel
  • Knowledge of SQL/ETL and experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools

As a Finance Manager at AWS, you will have the opportunity to work with a talented team of professionals who are passionate about delivering innovative solutions to our customers. You will be responsible for building out the finance function for three new services under the Network Software organization, including CloudWatch Internet Monitor and two new services in development.

As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for building out the finance function for these services, including pricing, 5-year P&L, cost management, and post-launch KPI management. You will partner with the engineering and product teams to build out new processes, lower costs, and grow these businesses.

This role will emphasize business partnership and as a result, the right candidate will possess a history of driving cross-functional collaboration and working independently in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate comes from a strong financial modeling background, has a passion for improving existing processes, and will participate in developing best-in-class finance practice across the entire AWS organization.

The candidate should also possess strong verbal and written communication skills, keen attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
