Role Responsibilities: In this role, you will be part of the Global Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team within AWS Data Center Infrastructure Operations Finance. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating with regional finance teams to achieve financial objectives.
- Conducting month-end reporting and variance analysis to assess actual expenditures against forecasts.
- Leading ad hoc financial analyses and preparing month-end financial commentary in partnership with various finance and accounting teams.
- Ensuring adherence to financial and accounting controls and systems.
- Monitoring and enhancing existing financial processes and controls.
Qualifications:
Basic Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax, finance, or a related analytical field.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical discipline.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Over 6 years of experience in identifying and resolving data discrepancies.
- Proven track record of delivering timely financial models and analyses that drive business improvements.
- Advanced degree (MBA) or professional certification (CPA).
- Experience with large-scale data mining and reporting tools.
- Strong skills in forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
- Proficiency in SQL and ETL processes.
- Experience in creating financial reports that support strategic decision-making.
- Track record of implementing process improvements through automation.
- Experience in continuous improvement initiatives within finance teams.
