Finance Manager, Region Finance, AWS Finance

We are seeking a highly analytical and strategic Financial Manager to join our Amazon Web Services (AWS) Finance team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing financial guidance and support to our Region Finance team in the development and execution of launch and expansion strategies for new regions and special projects.
Key Responsibilities- Partner with the AWS Infrastructure Business Development team to provide strategic guidance on investments, alternatives, and deal negotiations for region expansions.
- Own discounted cash flow and P&L financial modeling, often under tight deadlines, and lead executive-level discussions to ensure internal stakeholders are aligned with recommendations.
- Help prepare and deliver business reviews to the senior management team regarding progress and roadblocks to closing new deals.
- Provide controllership and oversight of business case data integrity and approvals.
- Understand infrastructure market segments, customer base, and industry verticals, and help set a business development plan for target markets and ensure alignment with approved expansion strategies.
- Develop business and technology acumen to understand and account for technology transitions and business evolution in financial models.
- Identify and lead projects to drive automation and process improvement.
- Effectively partner with functional business partner leadership across real estate, energy, construction, supply chain, and security.
- 5+ years of tax, finance, or a related analytical field experience.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field, or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role experience.
- Preferred qualifications include 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business.
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools and other financial systems.
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results.
- Experience in Excel and participating in continuous improvement projects to scale and improve controllership with measurable results.
- MBA or CPA, and 6+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses.
