Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Mortgage Loan Originator to join our team. As a Mortgage Loan Originator, you will be responsible for proactively soliciting mortgage business and selling Gulf Winds' mortgage products. You will develop and maintain strong professional relationships with area realtors, builders, attorneys, and other sources of mortgage referrals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct interviews with prospective borrowers to analyze financial and credit data, determine member financing objectives, and advise members of product/pricing policies and guidelines.
  • Proactively solicit new mortgage loan applications by developing relationships within the community and making outside sales calls to prospective members.
  • Ensure exceptional customer service by maintaining thorough knowledge of lending programs, policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Meet mortgage loan operational standards by contributing mortgage loan information to strategic plans and reviews, implementing production, productivity, quality, and member-service standards, and resolving problems.

Requirements:

  • Two to three years of similar or related experience.
  • Must pass requirements for registration with NMLS.
  • A high school education or GED.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to analyze and comprehend complex financial data and provide financial alternatives.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple competing tasks.

We offer a competitive salary and a target commission opportunity of $126,000 based on $3 million in Mortgage Loan Production. If you are a motivated and experienced Mortgage Loan Originator looking for a new challenge, please submit your application.
