About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Boston. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and compliance of financial statements, managing complex government grants, and providing financial analysis and reporting to support business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and ensure the accuracy of financial statements in compliance with US and Canadian GAAP.
  • Oversee the financial aspects of complex government grants, ensuring compliance with all regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Manage and reconcile cross-border transactions, including currency conversion, tax implications, and intercompany transactions.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing analysis and insights to support financial planning.
  • Prepare for and assist with internal and external audits, ensuring all financial data is accurate and up-to-date.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA designation preferred.
  • 5 years of progressive Accounting and Finance experience, preferably in public accounting and/or the manufacturing industry.
  • Comprehensive understanding of US GAAP and accounting principles.
  • Proven experience managing complex government grants, including financial reporting and compliance.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $80-110K, options, bonus, and benefits packages. Our benefits include medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, sick days, and paid time off. This role is based in Boston and requires frequent collaboration with the finance team.
