- Team Building and Management: Build and manage a high-performing team of advancement professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and collaboration.
- Operational Efficiency: Identify and address opportunities to streamline processes and optimize overall efficiency, productivity, and collaboration among staff members.
- Public Representation: Effectively represent the university and the Office of University Advancement at university and community events.
- Education: Bachelor's degree required, plus a minimum of eight to ten years of progressively responsible fundraising and managerial experience building the infrastructure of an advancement program, preferably within higher education and a campaign setting.
- Experience: Demonstrated success increasing the effectiveness of an existing development program and its staff, including individual and institutional philanthropy, through established objectives and performance standards and resulting in a transformative increase in philanthropic revenue for an organization.
- Skills: Proven success creating a team- and goal-oriented environment that empowers staff through active communication and delegation, and that builds confidence, promotes diversity of thought, and celebrates achievements.
