Job Title: Director of Business Operations

The Hairston College of Health and Human Sciences at North Carolina A&T State University is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Business Operations to join our team. This is a full-time, permanent position that will play a critical role in supporting the college's operations, finance, and human resources functions.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will provide business support to the Dean, Department Heads, Program Directors, Principal Investigators, and students by performing finance, budgeting, and human resource transactions. The Director of Business Operations will monitor financial performance by preparing and overseeing the budget, analyzing results, initiating corrective actions, and minimizing the impact of variances.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide business support to the Dean, Department Heads, Program Directors, Principal Investigators, and students
  • Perform finance, budgeting, and human resource transactions
  • Monitor financial performance and prepare and oversee the budget
  • Analyze results and initiate corrective actions to minimize the impact of variances
  • Work with the HCHHS Administrative support personnel to ensure that goals and objectives are accomplished in accordance with established policies, procedures, and priorities
Requirements:
  • Masters degree in Business Administration or a business-related discipline
  • At least 2 years of work experience in a business operations or finance role
  • Advanced level of proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with general ledger, procurement, and human resource applications
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Masters degree in Business Administration or a business-related discipline and at least 4 years of work experience
  • Advanced level of proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with general ledger, procurement, and human resource applications
