JOB DESCRIPTION


The Construction Supervisor is accountable for overseeing the field construction of a project, ensuring that the work is completed on schedule, within budget, and meets the specified quality standards.

In this role, with the support of a Project Superintendent, the Construction Supervisor is responsible for understanding and fulfilling Jackson Contractor Group's contractual obligations in alignment with the company's corporate culture and core values.


Before assigning any craft employee to a task, whether new or repetitive, provide them with a safety task assignment that includes showing and explaining the necessary safety and health precautions to be taken prior to commencing the task.

Clearly instruct each craft employee and ensure that all instructions are understood and followed by your team members.

Conduct a weekly safety meeting with crew(s) focusing on a relevant subject to the job at hand.


Plan various aspects of the project in advance to ensure that tools, materials, and all necessary personal protective equipment are available for safe job execution.


Actively engage in the development of all Job Hazard Analyses and attend all Preparatory Meetings that pertain to your area of responsibility on the project.

Ensure that materials, tools, and equipment are utilized correctly and regularly inspected according to Jackson's standards. Confirm that all tools and equipment are in safe operating condition before any task begins.

Address and rectify any unsafe conditions or actions. Contribute to the creation and maintenance of an injury-free work environment at Jackson's project sites.

Handle all interactions with coworkers, subcontractors, clients, and the public in a manner that fosters long-term relationships.


Go the extra mile to ensure project success and complete client satisfaction by double-checking all critical work deliverables to minimize errors.

Complete all tasks with a sense of pride and ownership.

Continuously seek improvement by initiating personal development strategies and suggesting company-wide process enhancements.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.

Self-motivation, punctuality, and the ability to manage multiple tasks are required.

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS

Must be able to read and comprehend project documents such as plans, specifications, contracts, etc.

Must understand labor, material, and subcontract costs.

Preferred experience with the following programs:
Microsoft Office Suite including Word and Excel

Procore

Bluebeam

CERTIFICATIONS & LICENSES

SWPPP, CESCL or equivalent certification is encouraged

OSHA 30 training is encouraged

OSHA Certified is encouraged

Current CPR/AED certificate
