Job Summary:

Fenway Search Group is seeking a highly skilled Financial Operations Manager to lead our day-to-day finance operations and supervise a small team. The ideal candidate will have functional responsibility over accounting, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the month-end close process, identifying and implementing enhancements to increase efficiency, speed, and quality.
  • Reconcile all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems to ensure compliance with GAAP standards.
  • Create, review, and post journal entries.
  • Establish, refine, monitor, and enforce internal controls, policies, and procedures.
  • Partner with other areas of the company to ensure adherence to internal controls.
  • Coordinate all audit activity.
  • Collaborate with other finance department managers to support overall department goals and objectives.
  • Provide direct supervision and leadership for the accounting and accounts payable staff.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience successfully leading and managing a finance/accounting department.
  • Strong in-depth knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
  • A foundation in public accounting is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in a fast-paced services environment is ideal.
