Job Summary:
Fenway Search Group is seeking a highly skilled Financial Operations Manager to lead our day-to-day finance operations and supervise a small team. The ideal candidate will have functional responsibility over accounting, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the month-end close process, identifying and implementing enhancements to increase efficiency, speed, and quality.
- Reconcile all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems to ensure compliance with GAAP standards.
- Create, review, and post journal entries.
- Establish, refine, monitor, and enforce internal controls, policies, and procedures.
- Partner with other areas of the company to ensure adherence to internal controls.
- Coordinate all audit activity.
- Collaborate with other finance department managers to support overall department goals and objectives.
- Provide direct supervision and leadership for the accounting and accounts payable staff.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience successfully leading and managing a finance/accounting department.
- Strong in-depth knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
- A foundation in public accounting is strongly preferred.
- Experience in a fast-paced services environment is ideal.
