Adjunct Faculty, Dental Hygiene Specialist

We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Faculty member to join our Dental Hygiene program at Austin Community College. As an Adjunct Faculty member, you will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in the field of dental hygiene, providing a comprehensive education that prepares them for a successful career in the industry.
Key Responsibilities- Teach and mentor students in the dental hygiene program, providing a comprehensive education that prepares them for a successful career in the industry.
- Develop and implement curriculum that aligns with the program's learning outcomes and industry standards.
- Assess student progress and provide feedback to students, ensuring they meet the program's learning outcomes.
- Participate in departmental responsibilities, including curriculum review and revision, program review, and assessment of student learning outcomes.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching methods and strategies.
- Stay current with industry developments and advancements, incorporating them into the curriculum and teaching practices.
- Bachelor's degree with current dental or dental hygiene licensure in Texas.
- Graduate of a dental or dental hygiene program accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA).
- Two years of non-teaching, industry-related work experience.
- Current license, in good standing, to practice dental hygiene or dentistry in Texas.
- Current CPR certification.
- Master's degree in Dental Hygiene or affiliated area.
- Experience teaching in a community college setting.
- Knowledge of current dental hygiene technology and software.
