Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Scientist to join our team. As a spectral research scientist, you will be responsible for discovering new information and exploring data in innovative ways. You will work closely with clients and teammates to understand their questions and needs, and create research road maps and lead the development of experiments, algorithms, and solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement algorithms for image processing
  • Work with scientific programming tools, including Python, R, Matlab, or IDL
  • Conceive, communicate, and advocate for research ideas and concepts
  • Collaborate with clients and teammates to understand their questions and needs
  • Lead the development of experiments, algorithms, and solutions
Requirements:
  • 15+ years of experience in spectral remote sensing and image processing
  • 10+ years of experience working with scientific programming tools
  • 7+ years of experience developing algorithms for image processing
  • Knowledge of remote sensing models
  • Ability to describe common elements of spectral image processing chains
  • Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam
  • Master's degree in Physics, Remote Sensing, or EE
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience applying AI/ML to remote sensing problems
  • Experience proposing and executing research projects
  • Experience preparing technical reports for publication
  • Doctorate degree in Physics, Remote Sensing, EE, or a related field
