Job Summary

Purpose of the Biomedical Engineering Technician III position is to provide technical support and on-call services for the analysis, maintenance, calibration, installation, and upgrades of assigned medical equipment. The successful candidate will also conduct safety inspections to meet regulatory guidelines and ensure a safe and clean workplace environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support and on-call services for medical equipment maintenance, calibration, and installation.
  • Conduct safety inspections to meet regulatory guidelines and ensure a safe and clean workplace environment.
  • Manage time effectively to meet established department guidelines and not exceed department overtime limits.
  • Coordinate outside support activities with vendors and clients to obtain completion of equipment support activities and ensure all activities are documented.
  • Promote individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory continuing and skills competency.
Requirements
  • Associate degree in a related field or equivalent military education.
  • Five (5) years of experience repairing and maintaining biomedical equipment.
  • Moderate knowledge of computer networking and programming.
  • Moderate knowledge of computer hardware and software, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Moderate knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
