About the Opportunity:
Creative Financial Staffing is partnering with a Non-Profit dedicated to higher education to find a skilled Senior Accountant. This role is a great opportunity to contribute to meaningful change and build pathways to high-demand jobs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily financial tasks, including accounts payable/receivable, employee banking, and payroll queries.
- Conduct month-end closings, resolve discrepancies, and reconcile accounts.
- Assist the Finance Director with quarterly financial reports.
- Aid in the annual budgeting process and prepare monthly budget-to-actual reports.
- Identify and report issues to management.
- Help develop and implement solutions.
- Generate accurate custom and ad hoc reports as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3 years' of minimum experience in finance or accounting.
- CPA certification is highly preferred.
- Experience with Sage Intacct software and nonprofit accounting and finance is a huge plus.
