Job Title: Bookkeeper

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Bookkeeper to join our client's growing team in Seattle, WA. This is a 6-month contract position that requires full-time work at the client location.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and update financial records, including daily transactions, ledgers, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
  • Process invoices, payments, and receipts, ensuring accurate documentation of all financial activities.
  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and financial discrepancies.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
  • Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting by providing accurate financial data.
  • Monitor and manage payroll, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and timely payment to employees.
  • Ensure compliance with tax filings, including sales tax, income tax, and other applicable filings.
  • Assist with audits, both internal and external, providing necessary documentation and records.
  • Collaborate with management to identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial efficiency.
  • Manage petty cash and expense reports.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or similar) and MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in work.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
  • Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Bachelor's degree preferred).
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with financial forecasting and budgeting.
  • Familiarity with payroll and human resources processes.
  • Knowledge of tax regulations and filing requirements.
Work Environment:
  • Full-time position, primarily in an office setting.
  • May involve occasional overtime during peak financial periods such as end-of-year closing or audits.

Compensation: $28-$30/hour DOE
