About the Role
We are in search of a skilled and team-oriented Field Safety and Security Manager to oversee safety and security initiatives at a large distribution center, which includes over 400 associates and a substantial inventory. This role involves close collaboration with the Facility Leadership Team, including Operations, Wholesale, Logistics, and People Operations, to ensure the safety of our workforce and the protection of our assets in a dynamic setting. The Field Safety and Security Manager will implement enterprise programs and ensure their effective integration within designated facilities. Daily leadership of the Safety and Security Team will be a key responsibility. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and a data-driven mindset, along with the capacity to work collaboratively across various operational functions. Your insights will have a direct and meaningful impact in a rapidly evolving company. This position is field-based and reports to a Regional Associate Director or Senior Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Safety and Security Team at the facility, including recruiting, hiring, and onboarding new associates to ensure their successful integration. Establish clear expectations, provide ongoing coaching, and address any challenges that arise. Develop effective scheduling to meet facility objectives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with the Facility Leadership Team to support all matters related to Associate Safety, Site Safety, Physical Security, Inventory Control, Crisis Management, and Business Continuity. Integrate safety protocols into daily operations and proactively identify new risks.
- Collaborate with the Inventory Control Analyst and the Inventory Control Associate Team to monitor vehicle assignments and transit status. Ensure thorough research and tracking of any vehicle discrepancies.
- Work with the Safety and Security Team and third-party vendors to maintain consistent security measures at key access points. Oversee the technology infrastructure to ensure tools are functioning effectively.
- Manage the Card Access process, ensuring timely issuance of access badges to associates.
- Conduct daily facility inspections with business partners, documenting issues and providing immediate solutions. Support training and development for the associate team.
- Assist in implementing Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) protocols across facilities, including training and site assessments.
- Actively participate in identifying and resolving issues affecting the Safety and Security Program.
- Track and report on key performance indicators to mitigate risks and identify trends.
- Support project management for key initiatives within the market as directed.
- Conduct thorough investigations of internal and external theft and fraud cases in collaboration with HR and relevant departments.
- Engage with local community representatives, including law enforcement and emergency management agencies.
- Foster collaborative relationships with other departments.
- Handle confidential personnel information with discretion.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in safety and security, preferably in distribution or warehousing.
- At least 3 years of experience managing a team.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Analytical and data-driven skill set.
- Experience in Risk Mitigation programs.
- Able to navigate a fast-paced, evolving work environment.
- Experience in theft and fraud investigations.
- Proficient in process improvement initiatives.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Leadership experience in Crisis Management.
- Knowledge of OSHA Program implementation.
- Must embody the company culture and mission.
- Familiarity with Microsoft systems.
- OSHA 10 Hour Training Certification preferred.
