Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the deployment and management of system architectures, ensuring optimal performance and security.
- Maintain an active U.S. government issued Secret security clearance, as it is essential for this role.
- Ensure compliance with Department of Defense directives and certifications, including DoDD 8140 / 8570.
- Manage and support both Linux and Windows operating systems, focusing on administration, security hardening, and troubleshooting.
- Work with various technologies such as Active Directory, VMware, AWS, and MySQL to enhance system functionality and reliability.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with NISPOM, JAFAN, JSIG, DFARS, and DoD/RMF protocols.
- Experience in managing Windows Desktop & Server environments or Redhat Enterprise Linux.
- Knowledge of data storage solutions, including NAS and SAN technologies.
- Proficiency in IT project lifecycle management processes.
- Experience with virtualization technologies, including VMware vCenter and vSphere.
- Background in supporting engineering teams in software and hardware development projects.
- Familiarity with Microsoft WSUS, SCCM, and Exchange.
- Experience in High Performance Computing (HPC) within a Linux framework.
- Scripting skills to automate processes and improve efficiency.
