The Electromechanical Engineer 3 - Cyber Security Specialist will assist system owning engineers with the selection, application, and implementation of Cyber-based security controls on various network systems. This will include interpreting cybersecurity requirements for inclusion in purchase documents and specifications as well as assisting in validating those requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the creation and execution of System Security Plans (SSPs) for systems falling under NIST requirements.
- Apply electrical, electronic, and mechanical principles to components and systems, including assembly, analysis, and documentation of results.
- Support and participate in the design, test, modification, fabrication, and assembly of prototype electromechanical systems.
- Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program.
- 5 years of relevant exempt experience; Master's Degree and 3 years of relevant professional experience; Ph.D. and 0 years of experience.
- Knowledge of the DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) and NIST processes.
- Hands-on experience implementing security features on various network and computing technologies.
- Experience with Industrial Control Systems (ICS), including assessment.
- Experience with security assessment and monitoring tools (i.e. Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS)/Nessus, Splunk, etc.).
- DoD 8570 recognized certification (i.e., Security+, Network+, CCNA, etc.) preferred.
