Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Lead Cook to join our team at Vi at Bentley Village. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for assisting the Executive Chef in all areas of kitchen operations, including menu development, food preparation, and staff supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Executive Chef in menu planning and preparation, ensuring high-quality dishes that meet the expectations of our residents and guests.
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure seamless kitchen operations.
  • Assist with inventory management, ordering, and receiving of food and supplies.
  • Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to develop and implement new menu ideas and promotions.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a high-volume kitchen, preferably in a senior living or hospitality setting.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment, with strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures, with the ability to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods, with the ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
