Key Responsibilities:
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays a crucial role in our community, ensuring that our residents and patients feel at home. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in all Nursing Department functions as directed and in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Conducting daily nursing operations in compliance with current regulations and guidelines.
- Ensuring adherence to written policies and procedures, including safety protocols.
- Managing the admission, transfer, and discharge processes for residents, including documentation of care provided.
- Participating in the orientation of new residents and their families.
- Collaborating with healthcare providers during rounds.
- Utilizing nursing personnel qualifications in alignment with residents' care plans and healthcare provider orders.
- Completing daily clinical and environmental rounds to assess resident care and report significant events.
- Addressing and resolving issues with residents and family members, reporting significant matters to the supervisor.
- Participating in facility surveys as requested by management.
- Potentially overseeing clinical programs as directed, such as dementia care, wound care, quality assurance, and infection control.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
- A current and active license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
- Experience in home care, assisted living, or long-term care settings with diverse patient populations.
- The ability to make independent decisions, follow instructions, and accept constructive feedback.
- Proficiency in speaking, writing, and understanding English.
