Overview

The LPN/LVN role is vital to the operational success of Legends on Lake Lorraine, fostering a nurturing atmosphere for our residents. This position encompasses a variety of responsibilities, including supporting all functions within the Nursing Department while adhering to established protocols and guidelines. Additionally, the role is centered on delivering exceptional nursing care and overseeing staff to guarantee the well-being of residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute daily nursing duties in compliance with regulations governing long-term care facilities.
  • Ensure that nursing staff follow established policies, particularly safety measures.
  • Manage resident admissions, transfers, and discharges, ensuring accurate documentation.
  • Assist in orienting new residents and their families to the facility.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals during rounds to provide comprehensive care.
  • Delegate nursing staff assignments based on individual resident care plans and preferences.
  • Monitor and assess resident care through regular rounds.
  • Address and resolve concerns from residents and families, escalating issues as necessary.
  • Participate in facility evaluations as required.
  • Oversee specific clinical programs as assigned by management.
Qualifications

Ideal candidates will possess the ability to make independent decisions, adhere to instructions, and communicate effectively with various stakeholders. Comfort in working with a diverse resident population is essential. Proficiency in English is required for effective communication with both colleagues and residents.

Education and Experience
  • Current LPN/LVN license in the state.
  • Experience in home care, assisted living, or long-term care environments.
Supervisory Role

This position does not entail direct supervision of staff.

  • Tactile Sense: Frequently required
  • Communication: Clear verbal instructions are a key component of the role
