Position Overview

The Supply Chain Optimization Engineer is a vital role within the Mobility Aftermarket, focusing on the delivery of process definition, innovation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

This position is instrumental in cultivating a culture of sustainable change through the establishment and integration of LEAN methodologies and the supporting framework to drive business transformation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all procedures, work instructions, and documentation related to internal logistics, specifically concerning material flow between cross-dock operations and Bosch manufacturing sites.
  • Identify and implement service enhancement activities across the organization by utilizing process improvement methodologies and innovative thinking.
  • Collaborate with key business stakeholders to foster a continuous improvement environment that supports an ongoing change program.
  • Lead and facilitate LEAN/process improvement workshops to generate ideas and solutions.
  • Support the delivery of enhanced value and increased efficiency by identifying and eliminating unnecessary complexities within business processes and discovering improved operational methods.
  • Recognize trends and process variations as part of establishing a continuous improvement monitoring system.
  • Assist in the development and execution of a 'best-in-class' continuous improvement strategy.
  • Define requirements and drive process changes through staff interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, business analysis, and workflow analysis.
  • Collaborate with team members and business services departments to create new support materials based on revised processes, including training, reporting, and systems enhancements.
  • Actively monitor project risks to anticipate potential issues and proactively identify solutions.
  • Ensure that business impacts and project objectives/dependencies are consistently identified, reported, and managed.
  • Conduct post-implementation reviews to confirm successful delivery and identify opportunities for future improvements.
  • Generate layout proposals within warehouses to enhance processes, flows, and operations, ensuring compliance with ergonomics and traffic flow standards to mitigate security risks.

Qualifications

Knowledge and Certification:

Required:
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience in continuous improvement analytics from a similar role, including project management and business analysis
- Minimum accredited Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (preferred)
- Experience in designing or implementing a continuous improvement framework
- Hands-on experience in executing continuous improvement programs and Lean solutions
- Proven track record in designing remediation plans to address productivity and efficiency challenges, with a commitment to follow through to ensure closure.

Skills & Abilities:

Required:
- Comprehensive understanding of continuous improvement concepts, including Six Sigma, Lean, and value stream mapping
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of partners, senior managers, and subject matter experts
- Strong analytical, project, and product management skills, with a thorough understanding of interpreting business needs and translating them into operational requirements
- Ability to set up, facilitate, and lead service improvement/'WorkOut' sessions with various business stakeholders (including experience in process/value stream mapping)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Project, Visio, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
