Job Title: Medical Collections Specialist

Join our team as a Medical Collections Specialist and take on a challenging role that requires attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and excellent communication abilities.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to investigate and enter claims in our payment system. As a Medical Collections Specialist, you will be responsible for keeping track and closing open and pending claims quickly and independently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Investigate and enter claims in the payment system.
  • Keep track and close open and pending claims quickly and independently.
  • Investigate claims with multiple coverages and complexities to determine if claims can be payable, resolve denials and correct rejections.
  • Process cash transfers and check requests, reviewing insurance explanations, benefits, and remits.
  • Electronic, paper, and web portal billings.
  • Appropriately send claims to departments for review and eligibility, processing collections.
  • Develop detailed and professional explanation letters to non-payable claims based on policy provisions and claim documents.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in Medical Claims processing and Medical Collections.
  • Experience in Microsoft, Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Ability to effectively and efficiently multi-task.
  • Ability to work individually and collaboratively.
  • Highly detailed and sense of urgency with ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong customer service skills while being highly professional.
What We Offer:

We offer a competitive hourly rate of $18.00 to $20.00 per hour, depending on experience. Our benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits, and a 401K plan.
